METRO X NOTE — Sheet Music Reader and PDF Annotation App

Import any PDF, mark it up with pencil and highlights, organize your library, and read with the patent-pending floating Orb metronome right on top of your score. The first sheet music reader with the metronome built into the page.

Why a sheet music reader belongs in your metronome app

Most musicians juggle two apps when they practice: a PDF reader for the score and a metronome for the beat. That's two windows, two timers, two batteries, and zero awareness between them. METRO X collapses all of that into one place. The metronome knows your score is open and projects the beat directly onto it through the floating Orb. Your eyes never leave the music to find the click, and your hands never leave the instrument to switch apps.

What the NOTE module does

  • Import any PDF. From Files, iCloud, email, AirDrop, or web download. Any PDF works — IMSLP scans, publisher PDFs, your own scans of paper parts.
  • Annotate with pencil and highlights. Mark fingerings, dynamics, breath marks, and bowings. Highlight tricky bars in color.
  • Organize your library. Sort by composer, piece, ensemble, or your own tags. Pin pieces you're actively working on.
  • Floating Orb on top of the score. Patent-pending visual beat that lives over your sheet music. Read the notes and feel the pulse without splitting attention.
  • Loop a passage. Mark a section to loop and have the metronome ramp the tempo up over each pass.
  • Share annotated scores. Send marked-up scores to bandmates, students, or your past self for tomorrow's practice session.

How to set up your practice score

  1. Import a PDF. Open NOTE, tap Import, and choose your source.
  2. Mark up the page. Pencil, highlighter, and text tool — for fingerings, breath marks, and notes that won't smudge.
  3. Turn on the floating Orb. Set BPM and time signature, then activate the Orb. It floats over the score and pulses every beat without blocking the notes.
  4. Save and come back tomorrow. Annotations save automatically and travel between iPhone and iPad.
